BOUGANVILIA So pretty and delicate I wish I could grow it on our deck in Torbay.
This photo was taken in the mountains of Spain and of course we had to stop and investigate. It was a wonderful traditional bar miles from anywhere and we approached with some trepidation as our Spanish is not good!
A man appeared, I started to speak when I heard him say – in a strong Birmingham (UK) accent - “WOT CAN I GIT YUU?” LOL.
A lovely lazy afternoon was spent on the terrace, with a carafe or two of wine, enjoying the views to the valley below.
This beautiful flower was growing up the wall.
That evening we watched a pretty pink sunset in Calpe
Followed by an even prettier sunrise next day
Oh JJ what a wonderful post. Love the pink bougenvia on the house growing, and the chairs outfront with the table. So romantic. The sunset was gorgeous. You know we can never see to many of those can we? I have signed up to follow your blog. I would be honored if you would pop over, read my blog, and sign up as well. Country Hugs, Sherry

ReplyDeleteReally cold (50s) in upper Michigan today with a dark sky. I need all the pink I can get this morning. Thanks so much for helping lift my spirits!
Wishing you a weekend filled with sunshine and happiness.
Wow!, that pink flower "growing up a wall" is a mandevilla vine and I blogged about ours today! Come see!
ReplyDeleteHappiest of Pink Saturdays to you!
I have several of the Bouganvilia plants. They and a rose are my very favorite flowers. I have several baskets and others planted in pots so I can bring in during winter. Yours are truly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGuess we'd go anywhere for a carafe of something cool and wet! And the language, who cares, they all know what we're there for.
ReplyDeleteI love the bouganvilla plant too - we can grow it here through Summer, in pots and hanging baskets but they won't make it through the Winter. Same with the Mandevilla - I have a couple each Summer in pots but they die back at the first frost. One this year is up to the roof of the gazebo!
Hope your Saturday was fun.
Hugs - Mary
