TODAYS FLOWERS

not much time this week again, there never is enough is there? but I saw this stunning wild rose in the hedgerow.

In all it’s natural glory it is hard to better it.

    Hi JJ... I love wild roses too... simple and stunning!
    Thanks so much for visiting! I fertilize my roses with compost.. and sometimes worm tea. This year they are starting out so rough because we have had a extremely cold wet spring.. so i may have to find a "food"..

    These are lovely, delicate pink and white wild roses. Being wild, I'm sure they are quite hardy, yet they look so delicate!

    They grow wild all over the place in Canada and as a child I use to pluck them and put them in a jar with water and make my own Rose Water perfume. Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories for me!

    Hi JJ in reply to your question about the Tradescantia - these ones grow to about 1.5 feet tall. Some garden centres will sell some of the smaller ones too. Chapel Cottage Plants website grows quite a few different varieties and they should be able to put you intouch with a retailer if you are interested in buying one. :) Rosie
